Powdered Coconut versus Desiccated Coconut
Did you know that you can have a hugely different texture and taste with the difference between the two?
Also, make sure your recipe calls for Sweetened or UNSweetened Desiccated Coconut.
If you use one versus the one in recipe it maybe oversweet or not sweet enough.
Additionally, desiccated coconut will expand with the moisture in the batter, which is typically a good thing unless that is not what your recipe intended, thus the reason you need to know your Coconuts.
